Mary Rosedale Award

The Mary Rosedale Patient Advocacy Award was established in 2017 in honor of Mary Rosedale, a champion for those working in the field of brain stimulation and an advocate for patients receiving ECT and other brain stimulation treatment and their families.This award seeks to recognize those who have advocated for patients and / or have worked to educate the public about brain stimulation and have worked to decrease stigma associated with chronic mental illness.
Criteria for selection:
  • Someone who has advocated for patients, challenged the status quo, educated the public and / or effected change within health care systems to improve care for patients receiving brain stimulation.
  • Someone who has been a role model for those entering the field of brain stimulation, training the next generation of care providers and / or someone who has increased public awareness related to brain stimulation therapies and effects and strived to decrease stigma for those seeking care.
