Intended Audience
This year’s conference is intended for practitioners, mental health professionals, and researchers of ECT and related stimulation techniques. A poster session will allow for the most recent research in ECT and other brain stimulation modalities to be presented. The information presented in this CME offering reflects the opinion of the presenters. As with all science, there may be multiple explanations for the data and multiple reasonable conclusions.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to
  • discuss the latest clinical trials and knowledge of ketamine and ECT in treating depression,
  • discuss the latest clinical data on risks of complications and identify new techniques in managing ECT side effects,
  • summarize new strategies in the use of TMS and DBS in the treatment of psychiatric disorders,
  • describe topics in basic science and clinical research of ECT and related brain stimulation treatment.
Event Formats and Digital Materials
The Annual Meeting will be a live hybrid event. As such, registrants will have the option to select their participation type (in person or online) at the time of registration. The livestream of this event will occur at the posted local agenda times. A link to join the event will be sent to registrants on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Video recordings from this event will be made available to registrants approximately one week after the event. Please note, however, that continuing education credits can only be claimed by registrants who participate in the event live, whether that be in person or online.
All event registrants will have access to program information, including slide sets received from speakers in advance of the event, via their ISEN account. All registrants, both ISEN members and non-members, can log in to their ISEN account in the upper right hand corner of this page.
ISEN will use Slido to facilitate Q&A Sessions at the Annual Meeting. In-person registrants should bring a fully charged smartphone or other mobile device to the event. Wifi will be available.
Refund Policy
A refund of the registration fee, less an $85 processing fee, will be made when an email written request followed by an email-written confirmation is received two weeks prior to the event start date. After this time, refunds cannot be made. Fees will not be refunded for failure to participate. The sponsors of the course reserve the right to cancel or postpone any conference because of unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment. In the event of such cancellations, full tuition will be refunded. ISEN reserves the right to refuse registration, or refund registration fees, to any person whose presence has the potential to be disruptive and/or not consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
